BSc Electronics Engineering Technology

BSc Electronics Engineering Technology

Introduction

The Purpose of starting BSc Engineering Technology Programme at Nazeer Hussain University is to provide an environment of learning and improving skills to hard working professionals who wants to level up their studies. We are currently offering 4 technologies which are electronics, electrical, mechanical and civil.

Programs' Vision:

The vision of the program is to provide theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills in the students. We provide and maintain good quality education and enhance research capabilities in our students of Electronics Engineering Technology. Our aim is to build confidence in our students and train them for the professional work environment.

Program's Mission:

Our aim is to provide the technical knowledge and build technical skills in our students who can generate new technologies in the field of Electronics. We develop skills of designing, engineering drawings, hardware designs, layout, testing, installations of devices, maintenance and electronic equipment repairing, etc. We build leadership quality and create professional capabilities in our students who can work in the professional working environment after graduating in electronics engineering technology.

Program Educational Objectives

Electronics Engineering Technology program’s graduates should have following skills after gaining five years of professional experience:

PEO_1: Take an interdisciplinary and integrative approach to address and solve engineering technology issues in broad societal contexts.

PEO_2: Have the intellectual independence and leadership skills to critically evaluate information and to take creative course of action.

PEO_3: Practice the habits of life-long learning, necessary for a good human being and a sound Professional.

Program Learning Outcomes

Electronics Engineering Technology program has following PLOs which every student should successfully achieve to complete his/her graduation:

PLO_1 Engineering Technology Knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, natural science, Engineering Technology fundamentals and Engineering Technology specialization to defined and applied Engineering Technology procedures, processes, systems or methodologies.

PLO_2 Problem Analysis: An ability to Identify, formulate, research literature and analyze broadly-defined Engineering Technology problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to the discipline or area of specialization.

PLO_3 Design/Development of Solutions: An ability to design solutions for broadly- defined Engineering Technology problems and contribute to the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PLO_4 Investigation: An ability to conduct investigations of broadly-defined problems; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature, design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusions.

PLO_5 Modern Tool Usage: An ability to Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern technology and IT tools, including prediction and modelling, to broadly-defined Engineering Technology problems, with an understanding of the limitations.

PLO_6 The Engineering Technologist and Society: An ability to demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to Engineering Technology practice and solutions to broadly defined Engineering Technology problems.

PLO_7 Environment and Sustainability: An ability to understand and evaluate the sustainability and impact of Engineering Technology work in the solution of broadly defined Engineering Technology problems in societal and environmental contexts.
