Hands on Knee Joint Assessment

The knee is one of the largest and most complex joints in the body. The knee joins the thigh bone (femur) to the shin bone (tibia). The smaller bone that runs alongside the tibia (fibula) and the kneecap (patella) are the other bones that make the knee joint

In knee pathologies most common disease is affecting the knee joint is osteoarthritis. Also sports injuries are common for example ACL and PCL injuries.

Department of Rehabilitation & Health Sciences, Nazeer Hussain University in collaboration with PAKISTAN PHYSIO SOCIETY organized Hands on Workshop on ” KNEE JOINT ASSESSMENT, PATHOLOGIES AND DIFFERENT CLINICAL APPROACHES” on 5th December, 2021.

The program was started with the recitation of Holy Quran. Then Dr. Muhammad Atif Khan, PT HOD, Department of Rehabilitation & Health Sciences welcome the guests. Later on, Guest Speaker Dr. Shabana Naz PT, share her knowledge and experience about knee pathologies and guide students how to do the assessment of knee joint and also demonstrate different clinical approaches of knee related conditions. She also give information and tips about license exams of different countries.

Chief guest Mr. Afzal Ahmed (Registrar, NHU), Mr. Danish Ahmed (HOD Molty Ortho), Mr. Abdul Rehman (Sales Executive Molty Ortho) distributed awards and certificate among participants. . At the end of the ceremony, the guest speaker was presented with shield and bouquet. Vote for thanks to Dr. Atif Khan PT. he will conduct this type of workshops in future with Pakistan physio society.
